Michael Page Logistics are supporting a client with the recruitment of an operations manager for their busy DC in Aylesbury.

Description

In the role of Operations Manager you will have the following responsibilities:

Collaborate with other managers to develop and implement strategies for improving operations and customer satisfaction.
Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse team, including assembly and dispatch of customer orders and receipt of deliveries from suppliers.
Management of the site transport team.
KPI setting, setting daily targets and managing performance through Management Performance process for all colleagues.
Maintain high standards of Health and Safety compliance.
Planning and adjusting colleague resource levels to meet daily/weekly operational needs.
Development and succession planning of the team including managers
Manage all Disciplinary, HR, Health and Safety, Grievance on siteProfile

We are looking to speak with candidates that have experience gained at a similar level within a busy warehousing and logistics environment. You must be able to demonstrate experience improving operational performances through people and process management and be passionate about being best in class. You will have some experience of managing budget and cost control against a business plan to maximise efficiency. You will have the ability to work autonomously and assume responsibility for the operational function of the business and will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A transport management CPC is desirable but not essential.
