Person Specification:
* Degree qualification or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
* Either Chartered or working towards APC
* A strong work ethic, with a desire to progress personally and within the team
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Advice: advising clients about building/property issues, including technical, financial, legal, environmental, building regulations & restoration matters.
* Surveying: undertaking surveys with photographic schedules in accordance with RICS guidance.
* Contracts & Procurement: prepare tender documents & contracts for works, including budgets, bills of quantities & other documentation.
* Cost Forecasting: pricing & forecasting the costs of a project.
* Rectifications: monitoring the deterioration or defects of a property & offering advice on repairs & associated costs.
* Value Engineering: identifying areas of budgetary improvement & providing best value to clients.
* Change Management: tracking changes to design & construction work & adjusting budget projections in accordance with progress monitoring.
* Feasibility: preparation of feasibility studies for potential construction projects.
* Sustainability: implementation of energy efficient/renewable building initiatives in line with carbon reduction initiatives.
* Valuations & Certifications: measuring & valuing works undertaken during a project.
* Project Management: management of projects & multidisciplinary teams across all RIBA Stages.
* Mentorship: providing support & advice to Graduates & Trainees working towards their APC.
Salary & Package:
Our client is offering a salary between £40,000 – £55,000 dependent on experience and background, plus the following package: –
