This is a term-time only 1:1 Teaching Assistant role, working with a student in year 9 to start as soon as possible.

anzuk Education is proud to partner with a fantastic secondary school based near Gatwick to help recruit a caring teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a student in year 9. Ideally, they would like this person to start as soon as possible, but willing to wait for the right person. This is a full-time position (Monday - Friday).

The school:
The school provides a nurturing culture ensuring all children are given chances to excel and have more choices in their future. They are an all through school, educating children from the age of 4 to 16. Most recently rated 'Good' by Ofsted. The school prides themselves on being one big family. They have a 2 form primary and a 4 form secondary phase. 

Salary: £96.92 - £108.03 per day on Umbrella contract. (PAYE contract also available)

The role:
Provide one-to-one support to a student with Special Education Needs.
Encourage student to interact with peers and engage in activities led by the teacher.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will assist in the development of appropriate resources and materials to support the learning needs of SEND student
Monitor and help to record the progress and achievements of SEND student, reporting to the SENCo and parents where necessary
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social and emotional well-being of all students The Ideal candidate will:
Have demonstrated a passion and interest for working in education or a similar setting with children
Have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers
Have a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
Be a reflective and engaging educator with the drive to make a positive difference in children's lives
Be punctual and organised
Be able to build rapport with students and staff easily, cultivating a community with strong core values
Have experience working with or show a willingness to work with SEND students Requirements:  
An Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one through anzuk
An up-to-date CV outlining employment covering the last 10 years
Some experience of working with students in a voluntary or paid capacity is ideal but not necessary
Some knowledge of supporting students who have a combination of learning, social, emotional or behavioural needs would be an advantage How to apply:
