Senior SEN Teacher Assistant

Full Time £95 - £120

ASAP start  - Long Term to Perm

Hours Start 8.45  - 4pm

At Supply Desk we are working closely with a local small independent school who are looking for a Senior SEN Teacher Assistant to join their supportive and friendly team.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a very small class of children aged between 8 and 10 years of age.  If you are passionate about making a real difference to young peoples lives then this certainly will tick those boxes.

Typically, the children at this school come with specific needs or perhaps have not settled into mainstream education.

This role may suit a very experienced TA with some SEN experience who has the confidence to cover the national curriculum. You will need to have plenty of experience in the classroom perhaps working with smaller groups of students with a range of needs such as Anxiety or an ASD.

This role would suit someone who loves teaching but perhaps wants to work in a less formal environment and have the chance to make a noticeable difference in a short period of time.

The role

Deliver engaging and interactive lessons
Maintain a positive and safe learning environment
Ensure the academic progress and the wellbeing of all students
Requirements

Experience of working in a Primary school as a teacher, SEN specialist or Senior Teaching Assistant
Have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are prepared to obtain one
Be passionate about teaching
Have a specialist subject such as PE would be desirable.
