Senior Credit Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Credit Controller for one of our clients based in Brighton. As a Senior Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the credit control function and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. This is a key role within our organization, and we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has excellent communication skills.

Duties:

- Manage the credit control function and oversee the collection of outstanding debts

- Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate actions

- Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to follow up on outstanding invoices

- Negotiate payment plans with customers to facilitate debt recovery

- Investigate and resolve any billing or invoicing discrepancies

- Maintain accurate records of all communications and actions taken

- Collaborate with the sales team to address any credit-related issues or concerns

- Provide regular reports on debtors and cash flow to management

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of credit control principles and practices

- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks

- Excellent understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
