Due to transformational change within our L&D space at Bakkavor, we are now on the lookout for an experienced Learning Manager. You will be responsible for managing a team of Learning Associates to deliver learning interventions at our site in Deal.
 
You will ensure that Bakkavor’s people development is well positioned to help realise its business strategy as we strive to be industry leading by delivering outstanding compliance learning.

Lead, develop and drive their L&D team with accountability for delivering on Bakkavor’s learning strategy.
Accountable for understanding learning needs at site/small group of sites level, drawing on the roadmap and frameworks, to create a learning plan for the zone. Update plan in response to changes from the regional lead. Understand needs through matrix relationship with HRBPs (people need), GMs (business need) and compliance.
Ensure right level of governance and prioritisation is upheld and achieves desired outcomes - refine once prioritisation process agreed.
Drives efficiency of delivery and effectiveness of learning outcomes within site/ group of sites.
Brings together relevant GMs in zone to prioritise learning needs within a where change to plan (due to compliance need) or conflict arises in year. Ensures the plan delivers compliance within region.
Accountable for delivery of this plan. Manages learning associates to deliver the plan, and delivers learning where appropriate; draws on business to deliver very specific technical training where needed (e.g. engineering) and liaises with other zone leads to ensure this is done in a timely and efficient way across the region.
Accountable for delivery on budget for zone, driving standardisation in delivery and learning outcome (ROI) across the zone (some sort of joint accountability for ROI with business leaders in zone).
Delivers some training where appropriate, reflecting the plan.  Evolves approach to delivery reflecting latest thinking in learning.
Accountable for performance of learning for their zone, reflecting KPI’s in balance scorecard.
Reports feedback on learning design/ packages to Design Team - liaises with other zone leads to identify themes in feedback.
Manages provision of learning delivery resource for Group plan where required and has visibility of on the job learning to ensure outcomes meet requirements set by Group Talent and Development.
Works closely with the Early Career managers and liaise with apprentice levy providers to support key individual’s development.  You will be great at developing cross functional relationships, alongside driving training best practice ensuring all our employees receive a best in class training proposition.
