Are you looking for a role within education for September? We are looking for proactive and empathetic individuals who are looking for a new challenge. Whether you already have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, experience working with at risk individuals individuals or experience working with children or young people in some capacity, we would love to talk with you.

As a Learning Support Assistant your focus will be on guiding and working with students wtih Special Educational Needs (SEN), as well as supporting the class as a whole. You will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students with SEN within a mainstream secondary environment. Your role could involve working within a specific SEN department, within multiple different age groups/subject groups, or with individual students on a intervention basis. As a Learning Support Assistant no day is the same, and the role would best suit someone who adapts easily and is proactive.

Responsibilites:

Supporting students with SEN in multiple settings
Working with students aged 11-16
Work collaboratively with the SEND department and other members of staff
Tailor your approach to the individual needs of the child
Treating all students with respect and kindness
Behavioural management, promoting independent learning and helping students manage their behaviourRequirements:

Experience working with children with SEN in some capcity
The ability to comunicate and work well with young people and other members of staff
Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding
A desire to support young people, and to work within the field of education
