Role and Responsibilities: As an SEN Teaching Assistant specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and emotional development of students with diverse needs. Your responsibilities will include:

* Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD, helping them access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities.

* Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies tailored to the unique needs of each student.

* Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

* Assisting with the assessment of student progress and contributing to the development of personalized learning goals.

* Supporting students during transitions between activities and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

* Utilizing your knowledge and expertise in ASD to provide insights and guidance to colleagues and parents, fostering understanding and effective communication.

Requirements:

* Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, preferably within an educational setting.

* A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.

* Patience, empathy, and resilience in the face of challenges, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

* Relevant qualifications or training in special education or autism support (desirable but not essential).

Hours and Pay:

* Full-time position, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

* Working hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

* Daily pay rates: SEN Teaching Assistant: £85-£95 per day.
