As an Business Development Executive you will be working with our Sales & Marketing Team, you will find yourself surrounded by a supportive and fun team all collaborating and working towards tailor made guest experiences. You will report directly to the Assistant Director of Events Sales.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Account manage existing keys accounts tracking and growing revenue along with gaining and developing new accounts for agreed target markets.

* To increase the volume of UK and overseas residential events held at the hotel.

* Full sales function, including pre- sales activities , preparing quotations, research all potential clients gathering all market intelligence through initially telemarketing, as well as handling post sales activities

* To meet and exceed monthly agreed targets for telesales, appointments and revenue targets.

* To recommend membership of relevant associations, sales trips and trade shows that will benefit the Hotel in achieving its budget.

* To attend association events and to exploit all benefits of membership.

* To assist in the development of an annual sales activity plan for the Meeting and Events Segment.

* To undertake UK and overseas sales trips to pre-agreed territories. In the UK , this will involve driving a hire car.

* To undertake competitor analysis, paying particular attention to product standards and pricing policy, and to share this information and use it to exploit client opportunities.

* Lead by example by following SOP’s and company standards and ensuring all team members are following the standards, highlighting any training needs to the Director of Sales.

* To ensure all client correspondence, quotes and activity is carried out to the SOP standards.

* To represent the hotel at agreed UK and overseas trade shows.

* To maintain and develop the hotels relationship with recognised Meeting & Events organizations

* To target specific industries in detail in the Annual Activity Plan

* To ensure all client profiles using Delphi are kept up to date with all information. Ensure current and future activities are logged to the agreed standards.

* To ensure follow up calls are carried out within the agreed timeframes.

* To ensure all re-books are completed within the agreed timeframe.

* Attend all meetings as required.

* Provide detailed monthly sales activity reports.

* To pro-actively work with the hotels appointed representation company in order to generate lead opportunities and sales.

* Help by suggesting, devising and co-ordinating direct mail campaigns to target markets as outlined in the Sales Activity Plan.
