JKS Pubs Group are looking for a Head Chef for their exciting new opening in Chiswick. The ideal candidate will come from a strong Pub & restaurant background and be passionate about Food & Beverage.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef looking for a role in an award-winning, critically acclaimed group.

The Hound 

The third opening from JKS & Dom Jacobs will be opening on Chiswick High Road, West London. Follwing on from the Success of The Cadogan Arms and The George.

The Cadogan Arms - Voted in the UK's Top 50 Gastro Pubs The Cadogan Arms is a much-loved Chelsea institution, restored to its former glory with a renovation that pays homage to the public house’s two centuries spent serving the local community. Comprising a bustling ground floor bar, an opulent dining room, and downstairs space ‘The Rose Room’.

The George is an 18th-century, Grade II listed public house on Great Portland Street, Fitzrovia. Spanning two floors, gilded Victorian mirrors, enamel paintings, and oak panelling remain unchanged, thanks to careful stewardship over the centuries. Large regency windows overlook the hustle and bustle of Great Portland Street, with original architectural details throughout and several private and semi-private spaces available for private hire.

Headed up by Managing Director Dom Jacobs, with food by Culinary Director James Knappett. The menu at The Cadogan Arms & The George focuses on simply prepared British produce, celebrating the provenance of locally sourced fish, meat, and fresh vegetables, as well as sharing roasts on Sunday. Drinks range from cocktails to a carefully curated wine list, and a comprehensive beer list.

The Role

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of consistent, high quality and innovative dishes and specials; you will play a key role in menu development, working closely with the Directors. You will manage the overall kitchen operation, including prep schedules, stock control, budgeting and maintenance, as well as the day-to-day management of the kitchen team. 

If you have the following, then we want to hear from you:

Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high quality Pub or restaurant;
Strong awareness of trends and seasonality of produce;
A highly creative approach to your work with excellent attention to detail;
Proven ability to manage, train and motivate a Kitchen brigade;
Experience in managing staff costs, scheduling and reviewing staff rotas;
Strengths in finances, purchasing and menu costing;
A working knowledge of health and safety, compliance and procedures;
