BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - Public Sector/Local Government – HOME BASED

£47,000 basic/OTE £75k-£80k+ plus company car

To be considered for this role you must have solid experience selling into Local Government

A global brand specialising in the development of technology/digital solutions for the health and social care sectors have an opening for a Business Development Consultant to cover their South East region.

Ideally based in the South East of England or London region and with experience selling into Local Government/Authority, you will report to the National Sales Manager and manage a specific geographical region

Typical day to day of the Business Development Manager:

Maintain customer loyalty with existing accounts
Identify emerging business and market shifts
Develop customer base from self and telesales generated sales leads.
Maintain all necessary customer, sales activity and sales status information within Salesforce.
Work closely with the internal sales team to affect the prompt processing of all sales related task
Attend national and regional exhibitions/networking events
 Who/what are we looking for?

Strong experience in a similar role
Experienced selling to Public Sector, (specifically Local Authorities) is essential
Product knowledge in the Assisted Living & Healthcare sector - Telecare and Monitoring would be an advantage but not essential
Good presentation skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to negotiate effectively
Strong business sense and industry expertise
Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
