Job Outline:
Manpower is currently recruiting for a English Teacher to join the team of one of our education, training centre clients based within Milton Keynes.

You will deliver accredited English learning to young people undertaking study programmes at the training centre.

Key Responsibilities:

English Instruction: Teach a range of English qualifications, ensuring high standards as per Ofsted ratings.
Curriculum Development: Align curriculum with national standards, community needs, and employment requirements.
Teaching Strategies: Implement student-centred teaching, learning, and assessment strategies to enhance retention, achievement, and progression.
Preparation & Monitoring: Develop and manage syllabuses, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments in accordance with awarding body requirements.
Feedback & Support: Provide regular feedback and individual/group tutorial support to maximise student benefit.
Record Maintenance: Compile and maintain course and student records.
Qualification Processes: Manage processes related to qualifications and exams, including registrations, submissions, and liaison with exams officers and external verifiers.
Health & Safety Promotion: Foster a positive Health & Safety culture, report accidents and near misses promptly, and adhere to safety systems.
Safeguarding: Support commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and vulnerable adults.

Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:

Experience teaching and assessing English qualifications from Entry Level to Level 3.
Ability to effectively assess and prepare relevant teaching materials.
Teamwork experience and ability to work effectively with colleagues.
Proven track record of delivering learning at a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted level.
Relevant teaching or training qualification (e.g., QTS, QTLS, DTTLS, PGCE).Desirable:

Experience delivering training in secure environments or with challenging cohorts.
Possession of a relevant Maths degree or equivalent.

This role will be full-time, Monday - Friday.
Working hours will be 8am - 5pm
