Scope & Purpose

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will play a vital role in our growing IT Team.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of all software applications used by Celestra. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, installing, and overseeing the IT Infrastructure here at Celestra! You will be the driving force of cutting-edge IT infrastructure solutions supporting the growth and development of the wider business.

What you’ll be doing 💫

* Develop and implement new technologies, software, and services.

* Research, recommend & consult on innovative technologies.

* Installation and configuration of new systems and supporting infrastructure.

* Perform monitoring and periodic evaluations of systems availability, integrity, performance, capacity & life cycle.

* Carrying out the maintenance of systems & infrastructure, provide 3rd-level user support whilst maintaining systems availability/uptime

* Maintain System documentation and create reports and outputs of the systems, support end users with issues/training needs.

* Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

* Troubleshoot, and resolve any reported problems.

* Provide application performance tuning & collaborate with application development teams and vendors to tune and troubleshoot applications.

* Plan and coordinate testing changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments.

* Leads and participates in efforts to develop and implement processes for application and system monitoring.

* Develop and maintain the reporting and dashboard infrastructure for the organization.

* Fully responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis

Who are we looking for?

* Expertise and experience in Zoho Applications

* Understanding of Microsoft SQ | Experience with Helpdesk Systems / ERP / CRM

* Strong experience in failover, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuance | Hands-on experience in process automation, best practice approach, technology efficiency, and effectiveness

* Experience of time management and prioritising

* Knowledge of Web Services and Services Oriented Architecture is desirable.

* Familiarity with common data formats e.g. JSON, XML, CSV

* Programming knowledge - PHP, HTML, Java Script, CSS

* Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels.

* Demonstrated soft skills required such as presentation of ideas and clearly articulate the concepts to senior management.
