Salary: £28,407 - £34,581 per annum DOE

Main Purpose
Work as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team to provide occupational therapy within our neurobehavioural model for individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI). Collaborate with internal and external professionals, family members, and the individuals we support.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Clinical / Professional Practice
Operate within a specialist clinical area as an autonomous professional, developing skills in neurological rehabilitation with the support of a senior OT.
Manage and prioritize a caseload of individuals with complex mental/physical health needs and/or challenging behaviour with senior OT supervision.
Complete the OT process using evidence-based, service-user-centred principles to assess, formulate treatment plans, implement, and evaluate interventions.
Address occupational performance and skill deficits to enable individuals in areas of self-maintenance, productivity, education, and leisure.
Develop and delegate care programs to rehabilitation support workers or therapy assistants, ensuring effective monitoring, evaluation, and modification of treatments.
Use interpersonal skills and empathy to engage resistant or distressed individuals and their families in the rehabilitation process.
Conduct detailed risk assessments, ensuring regular reviews and effective communication with the team.
Leadership
Manage a designated workload, identify priorities, and manage time and resources effectively with senior OT supervision.
Act to recognize, report, or improve performance and practice of self and others.
Promote health, safety, and security at work, reporting potential problems and suggesting solutions.
Understand and work within the political and economic climate impacting service delivery, with senior OT guidance.
Promote the profession and organization, developing partnerships across organizational and agency boundaries.
Contribute to clinical governance arrangements and quality agenda, including attending organization-wide OT meetings and implementing agreed outcome measures.
