Transport Manager

My client are looking for a trasnprot manager to join the team - the company is one that is a business that like to solve problems who love nothing better than being given a challenge and finding the right solution

Role summary:

Manage drivers/vehciles from sub contracters and other out sourced businesses 

Responsible for managing compliance 
Managing vehicle service planning in line with company policy
Ensure all inspections and checks have been carried out 
Carryout driver licence checks
Management of driver licence mandates and confirming monthly checks have been carried out and reported 
Ensuring all pre-use and end of use checks are being carried out by all drivers and the information is recorded in line with company policy.
Complete sub-contractor reviews
Produce relevant reporting and management information to increase efficiency, business improvement and customer satisfaction

Specialist in driver and vehicle legislation
Transport compliance background/experience
To work in accordance with the organisation’s mission, vision, strategic plans, policies, and procedures 
To behave in a manner that always reflects positively on the company
To promote equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practices
To assist in monitoring and maintaining quality standards across the company
To demonstrate an understanding and commitment to the principles of confidentiality Training and Development:
Participate fully in training and development in accordance with the company’s training plan and mandatory requirements.
To attend and participate in any supervision sessions and annual appraisals
