Fabrication Operator – Aluminium & Plastic Extrusion (nights)
Hours: Mon - Thur 5pm - 5am
Location: MK8, Milton Keynes
Salary: from £14.65 p/h
Job Type: Full-time
Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality aluminium and plastic extrusion parts, supplying industries such as automotive, construction, and industrial applications. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Fabrication Operator to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines for aluminium and plastic extrusion parts.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
* Adjust machine settings, tool offsets, and cutting parameters to ensure precision.
* Conduct quality inspections using measuring tools such as callipers and micrometres.
* Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor repairs.
* Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code) is advantageous.
* Experience with measuring instruments such as micrometres and dial indicators.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.
