We are on the hunt for a proactive Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team, a prominent manufacturer specializing in scientific instrumentation. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take charge of diverse projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality scientific instruments.

Responsibilities:

Interpret engineering requirements and functional specifications to create detailed designs.

Validate designs through calculations and stress & safety analysis.

Produce clear and comprehensive manufacturing information packs.

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop cost-effective design solutions.

Support procurement, suppliers, and manufacturing throughout all project phases.

Manage sub-projects and workload to meet project milestones.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Experience using 3D CAD software

Experience with design management systems (DDM/PDM).

Strong understanding of limits and fits, stress calculations, and drawing standards.

Structured and methodical approach to workload management.

Familiarity with manufacturing ERP/MRP systems.
