Experienced Social Worker – MASH
Role: Experienced Social Worker
Location: Oxfordshire
Team: MASH
Pay: £35,745 - £42,403 with Welcome and Loyalty payment of £3,500.
Contract: Full-Time Locum
We are working with Oxfordshire County Council to secure them a talented social worker, the local authority is looking for an Experienced Social Worker to join their flourishing MASH team in Childrens Services. This service is responsible for triaging incoming child protection referrals and making sure that vulnerable children receive the help they need. This is a crucial role that requires a dedicated and experienced social worker.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Screening referrals of children and families referred to the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)
Liaising with partner agencies to gather information and make informed decisions
Undertaking direct work with children and families to assess their needs and risks
Participating in strategy meetings and contributing to multi-agency discussions
Completing assessments and reports in a timely and accurate manner
Making recommendations for appropriate interventions and services
Providing support and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies
Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training sessions
Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
Adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and legislation
Requirements:
Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent)
HCPC registration
Experience working within a MASH or similar safeguarding team
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
Strong assessment and decision-making skills
Commitment to continuous professional development
Driving license and access to a vehicle
