Description

Project Accountant:

* Conduct an independent assessment of project or group performance, offering sound financial guidance and maintaining robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Evaluate processes to ensure the implementation of effective financial controls.
* Provide valuable financial services to project teams, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting to meet business unit and group requirements.
* Monitor financial performance rigorously, offering objective challenges where necessary, and reconcile financial reports to source ledgers for data integrity.
* Proactively review and enhance processes and procedures to meet evolving financial control standards.
* Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, resolving issues promptly to meet project timelines.
* Offer financial support for complex project matters and make decisions with significant impacts on project performance.
* Provide a helpline for internal and external stakeholders and offer coaching to non-finance staff on related topics.

Profile

Project Accountant:

Project accounting experience
Project Lifecycle Management (LCM) Process
Business Systems experience (SAP/BPC)
Finance Governance requirements including financial control framework
Commercial awareness required e.g. to support bid process
Identifying risks and opportunities on the project
Strong analytical/problem-solving/decision-making skills
Ability to analyse data to support management decision makingJob Offer
