Experienced/ambitious Project Manager required by the South Coast office of this busy main contractor, initially to manage the construction of a £15m new build education project in Bordon, Hampshire

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the project through the final preconstruction stages, site set up, and commencement of construction phase in July 2024, through to handover late August next year.

You will lead your team holding ultimate responsibility for client liaison, design development, construction methodology and programming of works, the smooth and timely progress of construction on site, and financial control of the project throughout, plus safety and quality control.

The main contractor is the busy regional office of a national tier 1 main contractor group, with a turnover in excess of £70m, and secured workload in the education, leisure, blue light, defence and retirement living sectors predominantly in the Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset areas.

Project values range from £15m to £40m on average.

This is a well established and cash rich main contractor with an excellent reputation for quality, safety, building positive repeat client relationships, plus retention and development of staff.

You will ideally be an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record within a major contracting organisation, able to deliver D&B schemes in the region of £15-30m in value.

Key attributes will include excellent client, design team and site team management ability, technical, contractual and commercial knowledge, plus focus and drive.
