Job Title: Site Manager - New Build Apartment Block (6-Month Contract)
Company Overview: Our client is looking for a site manager as they put the finishing touches on a modern apartment block located in the city of Reading. They are committed to delivering exceptional quality and craftsmanship, ensuring that residents experience the utmost comfort and satisfaction. As a Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the final stages of this exciting project.
Position Overview: They are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the completion of the internal works for our new build apartment block in Reading. This is a 6-month contract position focused on ensuring that the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained throughout the final stages of the project.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate all on-site activities related to the internal finishing of the apartment block.
* Supervise subcontractors and tradespeople to ensure work is completed to specifications and within deadlines.
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
* Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to resolve any issues that may arise.
* Maintain accurate records of progress, materials, and expenditures.
* Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on residential projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certificate.
* First Aid certification is desirable.
Location: Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom
Duration: 6-month contract position, with the possibility of extension based on project needs.
