The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and social development of pupils aged 5 to 19 years (Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5). These roles are based in schools catering to children and young people with Social, Emotional, Mental Health & Behavioural Difficulties and additional Learning/Special Educational Needs, including Autism.

Your responsibilities will include:

🎓 Assisting students in their educational and social development.
🌟 Providing support inside and outside of the classroom to engage students in various activities.
🤝 Working 1:1 with students, offering the necessary time and support for their learning.
🧩 Supporting class teachers by helping to implement lesson plans and managing classroom dynamics positively.
📚 Leading small groups of students in defined activities.
🤗 Building strong student-teacher rapport to foster a positive learning environment.

The ideal candidates will have:

✔️ Experience working with Learning Difficulties, SEMH, and/or EBD.
✔️ Experience managing Challenging/Confrontational Behaviour.
✔️ Experience working with children and/or young people.
✔️ A valid and Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS check registered on the update service.
