Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Reading - Monday - Friday 8am -5pm 
Permanent - £40,000 - £43,000

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team responsible for maintaining and servicing plant found within a prestigious commercial building in the Reading. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the building.

Key Responsibilities:
Conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks on various plant equipment, including but not limited to:
HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems
Boilers and heating systems
Chillers and refrigeration units
Fire alarm and life safety systems
Plumbing and drainage systems
Fire Alarm Tests 
Water treatment – dipslides, pH & temperature testing, chlorination, chemical dosing
Water pressurization units
Chlorifiers – annual inspection, descaling
Steam Plant
Condensers, Condenser Returns
Cooling towers
Softeners
Humidifiers
Hydraulics
Pneumatics
Responding promptly to reactive maintenance requests and resolving issues efficiently.
Performing checks and inspections on mechanical and electrical systems.
Identifying and reporting any faults or defects to the engineering team.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Requirements:
Fully electrically mechanically qualified (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) in either mechanical engineering, plumbing or Air Conditioning.
Experienced working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at a commercial building 
Proven experience in maintaining and servicing plant equipment within a commercial environment.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.. Benefits:
