The Role: The AICS Group is looking for a Highly Skilled Rehabilitation Support Worker Who can work with clients who are highly challenging that reside in Thatcham. This role provides immense job satisfaction within a busy and varied environment. The focus of the work is supporting the client with his interests, to rebuild his life, with emphasis on working towards independence, whilst being effectively supported with:
* Supporting the client with accessing the community and participating in varied activities.
* Prompting required for Daily Living: self-care, medication, shopping, meal planning and preparation, money management
We are looking for highly skilled Rehabilitation support workers who have the experience, patience, empathy, and commitment to support families/clients with their rehabilitation program and help assist clients to reach their goal of increased independence.
Support hours: Monday to Sunday 24/7 support
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Skills:
* Support Worker needs a current and clean driving licence
* Support Worker needs a minimum of 1 year’s experience in health and social care
* Basic understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Support Worker needs good IT skills
* Ability to work in the client’s home
* Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals
* Support Worker needs a willingness to learn and ability to take on feedback
Desirable Skills:

* Driving
* Undergraduate / Postgraduate Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience or related fields
