JOB TITLE: QA/QC Engineer
REPORTS TO: QHSE Manager
LOCATION: Blyth
Purpose of the Role:
To coordinate and manage all QA/QC activities in TEXO’s Port Services Division in Blyth, Northumberland, to ensure all quality standards and client specifications are satisfied in accordance with the Company QMS, with suitable records maintained.
Area(s) of Responsibility:
Quality control and assurance of purchased, fabricated, and completed products.
Drive to continually improve the standard of quality compliance and awareness across all functions
Promote a proactive commitment to TEXO Quality improvement initiatives

Operations Manager

Essential skills qualifications
Must hold minimum CWIP level 3.1
Numerate, analytical and logical
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use own initiative to effectively manage own workload within given timescales to ensure that project requirements are met
Ability to manage expediting requirements with a proven ability of fostering relationships internally and externally
Sound knowledge of quality standards and development of internal QM Systems
Well-developed problem-solving skills
Proven ability to develop and maintain effective processes, controls and performance measures
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain workshop and product quality in accordance with company QMS and client specifications
Generate, maintain, and ensure compliance to Project Inspection & Test Plans
Create and maintain Weld Logs and Weld Maps prior to issuing to production
Perform or ensure pre welding dimensional and fit up inspection is completed
Perform post weld final dimensional inspection
Perform pre-delivery inspection
Report, investigate, resolve, and close out quality non-conformances. Generate non-conformance report and CARs
Create and maintain project and client MRB records
Assist TEXO staff to understand company QMS requirements
Quality, Safety, Health & Environment
All employees have a responsibility for ensuring their own health and safety and that of their colleagues
Co-operate with Company requirements to ensure that statutory duties are met
Do not interfere with or misuse anything supplied for health and safety
Only use equipment and substance where trained to correctly do so
Identify and take any obvious corrective actions to resolve non-conformances and prevent loss in your
immediate area, reporting any hazards to QHSE Manager
Promote the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Aspects of the management
system
Support the Company’s environmental stance by following all environmental procedures and policies and assist with the reduction of waste, energy usage and emissions
Business Development
To promote TEXO Group where possible
To look and pass on opportunities, cross sell other divisions of the Texo Group where applicable and pass any opportunities to Business Development Team.
