We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Technician to join a please re write this working with private and commercial operators across the marine and industrial sectors
As a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Technician you will be responsible for assembly, maintenance, and repair of mechanical components and systems on marine vessels. this position is located in Penryn, near Falmouth.
Duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Technician :
• Perform service and repair tasks on various mechanical equipment, including engines, turbochargers, pumps, and heat exchangers, within marine or industrial settings.
• Conduct detailed cleaning, inspection, and reporting procedures in adherence to established standards and protocols.
• Work within a team environment, contributing to the timely completion of projects and tasks
• Mechanical expertise and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions during service and repair activities
• Demonstrate ability to work autonomously when necessary, displaying self-motivation and initiative in task execution
Qualifications and requirement for the Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Technician:
• Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering background is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Possession of a Forklift Driving certification is a plus.
• Awareness of Asbestos hazards is beneficial but not required
• Proficiency in General Machining
• Must be able to travel to Penryn, near Falmouth
