CNC Recruitment is looking to recruit a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our prestigious client in Yeovil, a globally recognised, profitable and respected company, specialised in providing high quality engineered photonic solutions for use in harsh environments.

Job role:

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will liaise with stakeholders to influence the successful design and planning of manufacture. You will determine methods, BOMs and routes of both new and existing products. You will determine equipment and tools needed for the team to achieve manufacturing goals to the customers specifications and companies’ high-quality standards. You will optimise productivity by analysing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and production output. Support daily production activities and keep the flow of production moving smoothly.

Working hours : Monday to Friday, day shift, 8.00am to 5.00pm

Responsibilities:

· Ensure new products are deployed into manufacturing using data driven repeatable process methods.

· Ensuring all works instructions, routes, BOMs, equipment and tools, technical drawings, risk assessments and facilities are implemented on time to request while maintaining quality standards and cost targets.

· Ensure projects and objectives remain on track to the original scope of intent.

· Concise data driven reports to senior leadership at each gate exit review.

· Regular contact with the production teams to ensure alignment of priorities.

Skills and Requirements

· Ability to self-manage high workload and prioritise according to goals, aims and objectives given.

· Technical expert for products manufactured and processed within defined area of responsibility.

· Proven experience with the general application of electrical mechanical engineering.

Desirable skills

· Experience of new production deployment.

· Process data collection.

· FMEA, PFMEA, DFMEAs (Design for manufacture).

· Production and process control plans.
