Role Overview: As the Head of Health and Safety, you will be responsible for spearheading transformative change across our organisation. Your role will involve working closely with the Director of Services to devise and implement an effective H&S strategy, aligning with organisational values and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and inspire teams to deliver tangible improvements in Health and Safety practices.
Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment and commitment to H&S improvement plans.
Design and implement robust management and governance structures to ensure legal compliance and performance management.
Enhance H&S Management systems, transitioning to a single integrated system aligned with ISO standards.
Foster positive relationships with Trade Unions and Health and Safety consultancies.
Champion change through visible leadership, effective communication, and focus on benefits realisation.
Ensure compliance with HSES policy commitments and legal obligations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven track record of delivering significant improvements in H&S practices within large organisations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence peers, executives, and line managers.
Experience in devising and implementing H&S strategies, policies, and procedures.
Familiarity with ISO standards and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience working with Trade Unions and Health and Safety consultancies
