Kitchen Manager - Hazeldown School

Part Time, 30 hours per week (term time only) 39 weeks per annum

Salary: £12.80 - £13.69 per hour, depending on experience

The Governors of Hazeldown School are setting up a new kitchen service to be the heart of the lunchtime experience for our 420 children. We are seeking a kitchen manager who is keen to be an integral part of the wider team at Hazeldown, with the responsibility for ensuring that our children have access to high quality, well prepared and presented school meals. We have installed a brand-new kitchen facility and you will be able to establish in house meal provision from the start.

A key part of the role will be getting parents, children and staff on board and enthused about high quality, locally sourced food. An understanding of the importance of the lunchtime experience on children’s wellbeing and success during the school day is key.

The role will involve working within an established framework, with support from Educatering, a kitchen management team who will provide menu design, operating procedure guidance, training for the team and regular support.

- Some flexibility in start and finish times to be agreed with the successful applicant (8 or 9am start with 2 or 3 pm finish).
