Our client is a highly regarded Charity who raise significant income to support families based in Somerset. A fantastic opportunity exists and they are looking to recruit a full time customer and people focused Area Relief Manager (to work 5 full days out of 7, Monday to Sunday)
To manage the retail shop as required, in order:
To ensure that, through effective and innovative management, the shops annual performance targets, including Gift Aid, are achieved
To ensure that the shop complies with all legal requirements and retail operating policies and procedures
To maintain the highest possible standards of customer service at all times
To ensure that accounting records are properly maintained, that till procedures are followed at all times, and that takings are banked in accordance with the Retail till and Banking Policy.
To assist in managing and organising staff and volunteer rotas in order to ensure that the shop is adequately staffed at all times, in order to comply with the Trading Policy
To support the area manager with the recruitment process of all shop colleagues
This role entails travel between their stores, situated across the county and surrounding areas. This could be on a daily basis and possibly may occur outside of normal working hours.
This role requires a flexible approach to the needs of the business, often at short notice, to support their shops and the retail organisation.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working within a Retail/Charity or Hospitality environment and experience of motivating a team of staff and volunteers.
Knowledge of the law relating to trading standards, health & safety and COSHH is essential to this post
