Title: Category Manager

Category Manager needed for new role with Exeter based public sector organisation. The role holder is responsible for the provision of specialist procurement knowledge and expertise, to support the delivery of a comprehensive, customer focused, cost effective and progressive procurement service: influencing the strategic direction of Procurement and the wider organisation agenda.
The role holder will lead in the development and implementation of complex supply chain strategies and provide professional procurement and supply chain services. Duties include (but are not limited to):
Strategic sourcing of complex high value categories of goods or service
Supplier Relationship Management and delivery of supplier performance and alignment to business objectives
The delivery of best in class procurement & supply chain processes and systems
Working with the business and supply chain to ensure consistent standards across the company including national frameworks and contracts
Contract negotiation and contract management across a broad portfolio of supplies services To be chosen for the role you must possess the following skills/experience:
MCIPS or equivalent qualification
Significant experience in procurement including strategic sourcing
Experience of negotiating complex supply contractsSalary up to £45,000 + Excellent Benefits package
