Hours: 37.5 hrs per week - Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm with a 1:00pm finish on Friday
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 depending on level of experience

A successful and ever-growing electronics manufacturing company who have been established over 35 years are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Coordinator to join their friendly and hardworking procurement team based at their brand-new offices in Poole.
This leading company have been established over 25 years and are looking to expand their dynamic materials team with either an experienced Buyer or an ambitious individual who they can train, develop and progress into a valued member of the team.
This is a not your normal purchasing position, it is a lot more involved. Working within a small team for a leading SME you will play a bigger part in the materials control.
Because of the fast-paced nature of this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to be detail orientated, proactive and self-motivated.
Some of your duties will include:
* Sourcing new suppliers and materials, negotiating the best deal to suit company requirements.
* Reviewing purchases and consolidate requirements to reduced stock levels and orders placed.
* Ensuring orders are placed correctly and that they arrive on time – raising any delays or issues to the materials manager.
* Producing material costings from customer supplied information.
* Obtaining acknowledgements for all company procured orders, checking all details are correct and dealing with any discrepancies.
* Resolving any quality / service issues with suppliers in a timely and professional manner.
* Ensuring all databases including the MRP system are kept up to date with correct contact details and communications.
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing suppliers whilst continuously reviewing their performance.
* Keeping up to date with industry market trends, policies and procedures using the internet, supplier relationships and other sources as required.
We would like our ideal candidates to possess:
* Previous experience within a buying / procurement / purchasing position OR experience in a heavily admin focused position with an interest in procurement
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
* The ability to be an excellent team player who can also work alone using their own initiative.
* Excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
* Good PC skills – knowledge of Microsoft programmes including Excel & Outlook.
