Our client, based in Colchester, is a high growth acquisitive, private equity, group of companies and due to growth are looking to recruit a Commercial Analyst. This is based in Colchester, with a high degree of flexibility, hyrbid working and autonomy.
As a Commercial Analyst, you will be pivotal in shaping the group’s data architecture, tracking the progress of initiatives and pushing business intelligence capabilities to the next level. You will be reporting to CFO and working directly with senior and key stakeholders in the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Involvement in the annual budgeting process, including 1 to 5 year forecasts
System architecture with Finance, Marketing and IT
Forecasts and Budgeting, preparation and keeping up to date
Rolling forecasts and trend analysisPreparation of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly KPIs circulated to management teams
Tracking performance of the individual elements of business performance vs Budget and working with individual teams to understand variances
Support with the creation of pricing strategy
Pricing tracking including competitor benchmarking and pricing strategy implementationExperience and qualifications:
Preferably Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, statistics, maths or data sciences
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working as Commercial/Finance/Data/Business Analyst or Finance Business Partner
Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication
Data gathering: strong skills in extracting and aggregating data from various ERP systems and databases
Data Analysis: comprehensive excel skills to clean, manipulate, explore, and gather insights from data, applying data visualisation to present results in a digestible and accessible format
Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
