Gilbert Meher are looking to speak to nurse-qualified individuals with a strong elderly care background in regards to a Clinical Lead position in Bath. We require a passionate individual who has a clear focus on helping homes deliver holistic care to their residents. The provider is looking to invest in this individual and help them grow and develop within the role and company. What they ask for in return is that you give 100% to the residents and your team on a day-to-day basis. 
The home is a great size for someone new to the role, with a maximum capacity of 30 beds. It also operates at good occupancy levels and has a good core team helping the home run smoothly. The home has a good CQC rating and it will be your job to help them push for outstanding! It won't be easy but you will be given the resources to help the home achieve their goal!

Job Specification 

Take responsibility for Resident care, as designated by the Home Manager in his / her absence and the absence of the Deputy Home Manager.
Supervise and coach Colleagues, including registered nurses’ clinical activity to assist Residents with all aspects of their care needs. Assist the Home Manager with regular ‘Supervision’ and Performance Development Reviews in line with company requirements.
Ensure that the reporting of any ill-health amongst Residents and requests for GP / Professional visits is followed up to facilitate the appropriate care and treatment of the Resident. Administer prescribed medicines and maintain the appropriate records in line with the Company’s policies, procedures and NMC guidelines.
Maintain accurate records/notes (including incident reports) to ensure the safeguarding, health and safety and statutory legal requirements are met.
Ensure that each Resident has an individualised Care Plan that is reviewed a minimum of monthly and is updated when Resident care needs change.
Obtain & provide a comprehensive handover summary from/to the ‘Person in Charge’ to provide continuity in care.
Establish and maintain good communication between Residents, Relatives and Colleagues to keep all relevantly informed. Assist the Home Manager and/or Deputy Home Manager with the delivery of clinical services and nursing practice per regulatory requirements and take responsibility in their absence.
Liaise with external professionals e.g. GPs, District Nurses, and Occupational 
The ideal candidate for this position must have 

An active registration with NMC;
Be driven and motivated to provide excellent levels of care and to lead a team;
Be nurse qualified ideally RGN with relevant care home experience;
Possess strong leadership qualities;
Have good knowledge of CQC standards;
The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families and visitors;
Eligibility to work within the U.K
