An extraordinary provision in the Nailsea area who are dedicated to building trusting relationships with young people who have faced immense trauma and struggle in their life are looking for a deeply understanding and resilient Teaching Assistant.

This school emphasis lies not only on academic achievement but also on nurturing the personal growth of each student. They prioritize their attention on being a supportive, resilient role model and confidante for their students.

Position details:

Immediate start till the end of the academic year. To be rolled on to September with a contract.
Hours are 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, with a 12:30pm finish on Fridays – (term time only).
2 hours of daily planning, no lunch or playground duties and requires no marking
Enhanced TA rate of £100/ day. Paid weekly
The 12 girls aged 11 – 18 follow an individual education and care plan and work to their level of learning. The school’s ethos is to repair and connect, they’re not focused on sanctions and the ‘behaviourist approach’, but rather the holistic approach.

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

Be able to drive as the school is in the BS21 (Clevedon) area
Be confident working with children who exhibit challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
