A respected consultancy in Bristol is now looking to find the next member of their design team. We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer who has a background of experience with traditional materials and good knowledge of the design process. Projects are very much architecturally led and a focus on the aesthetic, as such they come with their own complex design challenges. As well as architecturally led projects, this practice has some large commercial projects which require a contemporary way of thinking.

This person should be personable and approachable as they will be representing the company as their experience develops. This company covers several sectors including renewable energy, commercial and residential.

Key responsibilities:

Producing detailed designs for complex projects
Ensuring the quality of work from junior members of staff
Liaising with Senior Engineers and other design teams
Dealing with client queries

Working with architects and main contractors.
Motivated to develop self and others with the business
Producing work consistent with existing reputation and portfolio
 
Projects tend to be highly architecturally focused and recent examples include:

Highly contemporary city centre office space
Health and social care,
Education
Leisure
Residential
Industrial

What’s on offer:

A salary of £35,000 - £40,000
