Our client, a leading company in the finance sector, is seeking a talented Group Financial Reporting Manager to join their team. As the Group Financial Reporting Manager, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in overseeing the Group's external financial reporting and subsidiary financial reporting requirements. Reporting to the Head of External Reporting & Treasury, you will collaborate with various teams across the business, such as Tax, Management Accounts, FP&A, Legal & Company Secretariat, and overseas finance teams.

Responsible for managing and delivering the statutory financial accounting and reporting for the Group, including the preparation of half-year and full-year consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
Contribute to the production of the year-end Annual Report as part of a team.
Assist with financial analysis and commentary for the Annual Report, preliminary results announcements, and investor presentations.
Support the preparation of Audit Committee papers and ad hoc Board papers.
Act as an internal consultant on technical accounting issues, including writing technical papers and advising on the impact of new accounting developments.
Collaborate with the Group FD and Head of External Reporting & Treasury on ad hoc accounting and reporting projects.
Manage the external audit process, including coordinating the delivery of information to auditors and ensuring adherence to the audit timetable.
Oversee the delivery of statutory accounts for UK subsidiaries.
Work with overseas advisors to support the delivery of financial statements for overseas entities.
Collaborate with tax and legal advisors on corporate restructuring projects.
Provide advice and support to overseas finance teams on accounting matters.
Maintain the Group's share option scheme schedules and administer share option exercises.
Deliver external ad hoc reporting, such as ONS reporting, UK SIP tax returns, and payment term reporting.

Tax

Support the Tax team with ad hoc requirements for tax filings in all group jurisdictions.
Assist in the preparation of UK VAT returns during periods of annual leave.
Implement the Group's transfer pricing policy and oversee accounting for transfer pricing and cost recharges.
Contribute to tax-related disclosures for interim and full-year reporting.
Ensure reconciliation and review of all tax accounts on a regular basis.

Other

Identify opportunities to simplify and automate processes while maintaining a high-quality finance function.
Support the Head of External Reporting & Treasury in leading a financial reporting team, including training, career development, and task delegation.

Skills and Experience

Minimum of 2 to 3 years post-qualification experience in a relevant role (practice or industry).
Professional certification in accounting attained in professional practice.
Strong analytical and technical accounting skills, with working knowledge of IFRS reporting.
Proven track record of coaching and developing team members.
Experience in a PLC reporting environment with multi-legal entity reporting responsibility is desirable.
Ability to consistently deliver results in a fast-paced and deadline-focused environment.
Good knowledge of general ledger systems (Microsoft NAV / Business Central) and accounts production software (Caseware) is desirable.
Advanced Excel and formal writing skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Adaptable and flexible, with a drive for process improvement.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated team player with the ability to work autonomously.
