Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Coded Welder proficient in both MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding techniques. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our production team, contributing to the fabrication of precision components and ensuring the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding techniques based on materials and specifications.
Perform MIG and TIG welding operations on various metals, including steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
Monitor welding processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Conduct inspections of welded components to identify defects and ensure conformance to requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and achieve production targets.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety within the welding department.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a coded welder, with proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding techniques.
Valid welding certification(s) in accordance with industry standards (e.g., BS EN ISO 9606, ASME Section IX).
Strong knowledge of welding processes, metallurgy, and materials properties.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and welding symbols.
Excellent attention to detail and precision in welding operations.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
