We are seeking an experienced DBA to work on our Azure SQL databases with light touch on Oracle databases.
You will be involved in the maintenance, management and optimisation of our database environments. Alongside this, you will have exposure to supporting the Infrastructure team on an ad hoc basis with general maintenance, patching operating systems, Azure or Microsoft 365 activities, as time permits outside of core DBA activities.
Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager within IT Operations, you will be working with a close knit team and our third party provider.
About you -
* Experience dealing with Azure SQL databases (essential)
* Experience dealing with Oracle databases (desirable)
* General exposure to Infrastructure activities (desirable)
* Understanding of Azure Data Platforms to liaise with the dedicated BI Team
* Exposure to database monitoring tools
* Working within a high availability environment
Permanent position
Hybrid working - 2x days office-based, 3x days working remotely
Location: Milton Keynes based office
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
