Family Support Worker - Plymouth
Are you a passionate, dedicated Family Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Family Support Worker to join a team based in Plymouth.
Duration: 3 months initially
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm, 37 hrs/week
Family Support Worker role: Full JD Available
Deliver high quality family support, assessment and interventions for the most challenging and vulnerable families
Identify and reduce risk, and prevent the need for statutory intervention
Provide social care departments and other specialist providers such as health professionals and housing
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and families
Deliver supervised contact, observation and assessment
Identifying, escalating and reporting child protection concerns as required
Providing high quality advice, guidance and support regarding child safety and wellbeing
Actively promoting community-based groups activities, with children, young people and families to support independence
Provide practical and emotional support to both children and parents
Create reports and statements for, and attending where necessary, case conferences and court hearings to give evidence
Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary
Essential Requirements
UK Driving License, access to a vehicle, business insurance
Experience of working with children and/or families in the community or setting
Working knowledge of assessment and intervention methods and tools for use with children and families
Working knowledge of child development 0-18 years
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service
