If this sounds like you, you may be the person we are looking for! We are seeking new Recovery and Wellbeing Workers to cover the Sedgemoor area.

This is not a traditional Support Worker role. The Recovery and Wellbeing Worker will provide holistic, strengths-based interventions focusing on the needs of clients to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Working alongside Open Mental Health partners and drawing on community resources will be key in this role so if you have experience of working in a multidisciplinary team this could be the role for you.

We are looking for people to help us deliver the Open Mental Health service which aims to provide enhanced, non-clinical wrap around specialist help for people who fall between primary and secondary care and those stepping back down into primary care.

This role will provide high quality interventions for people with moderate and serious mental health needs in a 1:1 and group work facilitation capacity.

This will include connecting people to community resources, building resilience, improving wellbeing through targeted interventions, and coordinating and navigating social and clinical services around the individual. Using a psycho-social approach you will work within a recovery and psychologically informed approach, taking a holistic view to support people s recovery to live fulfilling lives. Your offer will be tailored to individual cultural and social needs.

About you:

You will need to:

  • Have experience supporting people with complex needs, including mental health, within a community setting
  • Be a good communicator
  • Be great at building trust with those you work with
  • Be keen to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to contribute to the delivery of this valuable service.
  • Be able to work on your own initiative whilst being part of a larger dispersed team
  • Have strong organisational skills
  • Have a driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the geography of the Sedgemoor area
