The role

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a confident, flexible and committed Teaching Assistant, on behalf of one of our partner schools, to work with pupils in Year 1/2 of this warm and inclusive school based in the CF3 area of Cardiff. The successful applicant will assist with providing intervention and extra support to pupils within these classes. The school are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant on a full time basis, Monday to Friday, until the end of the academic year in the first instance. Previous experience working with children of different ages is preferred but not essential. We welcome applicants who have a passion for education and those that may have personal experience, e.g. babysitting / parenting experience.

The School

The school is a Primary school situated in the Rumney, the East of Cardiff. The headteacher provides strong, effective leadership and staff, governors and parents share and appreciate the headteacher’s vision. A wide range of highly effective partnerships with parents and the community contributes significantly to pupils’ attainment and wellbeing.

Vetting requirements

To get you fully vetted and ready for work we will need a 10 year career history, recent references, a current DBS, proof of EWC registration and proof of right to work in the country (passport or birth certificate). Teaching Personnel can help with obtaining these mandatory rrequirements prior to starting the role and will go through them with you on the first initial enquiry call.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
