Title - Primary Teaching Assistant

Location – Newport, (NP10 & NP20)

Pay – Minimum £83.85 per day

Teaching Personnel are currently receiving a high number of requests for teaching Assistants in the Newport area. Whilst previous experience is not essential for the role, it is preferred. Previous experience can come in the forms of; childcare/carer work, sports coach, support worker, previous Teaching Assistant work etc.

The role will heavily depend on the educator’s ability to work with and alongside children and can provide emotional and behavioural support consistently throughout a working day.  Some of the desirable attributes we would expect are to be empathetic and understanding, have a proactive mentality in your approach every day, have strong communication skills,

Expectations for the role of a Teaching Assistant:

Build meaningful and positive relationships with both pupils and parents.
Previous experience working with or alongside children in some sort of capacity.
Display strong and effective communication and listening skills.
Strong use of empathy and understanding.
Passionate toward developing pupil’s access to learning both in the classroom and community.
Expectations for the role:

Assisting the pupil and ensuring they stay engaged throughout the course of the day.
Ensuring there is a positive mindset and attitude toward work.
Be understanding and patient in different scenarios.
Coordinate and work alongside the Teacher to ensure the organisation and preparation of the classroom.
Create and build upon relationships with the Teacher, pupils and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
