£20,000 - £22,000 (rising to £32,000 through 6 monthly reviews) & benefits
This thriving South Wales manufacturer has an enviable reputation for design excellence and is a supplier of choice for many of the worlds leading equipment manufacturers. They are currently looking to recruit another Graduate Engineer to further strengthen their Product Development function.
Role & Responsibilities:
o Based in the Design and Development team, your main focus will be on product Simulation and Test.
o This will involve the Simulation of Mechanical behaviour of components, using Ansys.
o Operating and contributing to the maintenance of several test rigs.
o Use CFD to simulate hot gas and liquid flow in fluid transfer components.
o Support design decisions for new products based upon simulation and test results.
o Interpretation of experimental performance data to aid prediction and correlation.
o Occasionally travel to customer sites.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
o Degree Qualified in Mechanical or similar
o Good knowledge of fluid mechanics
o FEA and CFD would be advantageous.
