Designated Safeguarding Lead

Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Special School in recruiting a DSL to lead a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to support families in achieving optimal social, health, and educational outcomes.

Title: Family Team Manager/DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead)

Location: Rugby UK

Type: Ongoing Contract

Salary: £175/day for 6 hours a day

Key Responsibilities:

* Act as a source of support and expertise for all staff.

* Lead safeguarding training and liaise with safeguarding partners.

* Inform the headteacher of safeguarding issues and liaise with relevant authorities.

* Coordinate with mental health leads on safeguarding concerns related to mental health.

* Promote engagement with parents/carers in safeguarding and welfare matters.

* Plan and implement quality experiences for families and children.

* Contribute to the School Development Plan and staff meetings.

* Assist in planning and delivering training for various stakeholders.

* Develop services for hard-to-reach families and engage them in community activities.

* Provide support and advice to parents/carers and monitor staff performance.

* Comply with policies and procedures, ensuring a safe environment.

* Establish the school as a model of excellent practice in integrated services.

Requirements:

* Relevant experience in safeguarding and family support.

* Strong leadership and communication skills.

* Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

* Commitment to promoting the welfare of children and families.

* Familiarity with relevant policies and procedures.
