Manufacturing Engineer - Desford, Leicestershire (4 days onsite/1 remote) - Up to £32/hr - Inside IR35 - 12 month initial

In your first few weeks in this Manufacturing Engineer role, you can expect to:
Identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to complex manufacturing operations equipment and processes.
Conduct concurrent product and process design in line with current product improvement programmes, review design for manufacturability, assess and mitigate process risks
Engage in creative problem solving to address operational issues, including ergonomic safety, quality concerns and efficiency improvements
Work with internal and external suppliers to develop and manage projects to ensure efficient and cost-effective systems and processes to produce quality products
Design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems, including factory control software, scheduling techniques, simulation, and systems application
To apply for this Manufacturing Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:
Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations, manufacturing change management, technology development and facility planning
Demonstrated project management skills or contribution to the delivery of complex projects both through technology and scale
Experience developing manufacturing standards and procedures and collaborating with other teams to agree on joint standards
Problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to bring problems to a successful resolution
Experience with budget management and/or capital project delivery
