Sandwell Children’s Trust are looking for a Payments Assistant within their busy Finance Team
Job Summary:
* To support the payments relating to the provision of accommodation for looked after children, Youth Offending Service, Leaving Care, Supported Lodgings and training flats worth over £3M per month.
* To ensure the accuracy and consistency of records relating to the payments made and support the production of ongoing financial projections.
Personnel Specification:
* 2 years working in a busy office environment
* NVQ level 2 in business administration or equivalent
* Use of IT systems and office software
* A understanding of payment processes include records management, maintaining an audit trail, reconciliation
* Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Understanding of different accommodation types for looked after children
* Understand the practical implications of contracts i.e. applicability of notice periods
* Self-motivated
* Excellent attention to detail and accurate work
* Proven ability to work under pressure
* Ability to work under pressure using own initiative or as part of a team
* Capable of working with all types of people
* Experience of prioritising and organising own workload
* Effective communication skills
* Ability to devise admin systems and process
* Ability to interpret instructions
* Ability to interpret statistical information
* Ability to respond flexibly to customer and business needs
* Numerate
* High level of accuracy
