Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our client's dynamic team. This role presents a unique opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the well-being of employees and fostering a culture of safety excellence within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust health, safety, and environmental management systems, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Location: Uttoxeter

Working Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental management systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
Provide expert guidance and support to all levels of the organization on matters relating to health, safety, and environmental management.
Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics, preparing reports and recommendations for senior management to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with department managers and staff to foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, driving initiatives to achieve and maintain accreditation.
Conduct regular training and toolbox talks to enhance employee awareness and understanding of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Keep abreast of developments in HSE legislation, regulations, and industry best practices, implementing changes as necessary to enhance organizational safety standards.Requirements:

NEBOSH qualification or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety.
Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a health and safety role within the engineering industry.
Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, with a demonstrable track record of implementation and maintenance.
Strong understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and incident investigations.
Proactive and results-oriented approach, with a passion for promoting a culture of safety excellence.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.Benefits:
