Role: Material Handler
Location: West Bromwich
Hours of work: Rotating 3 shift pattern - Days, Afternoons, Nights
Rate of pay: £12.00 Per hour
Mainstay Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Material Handler on behalf of our long standing West Bromwich based client. As a Material Handler you will be responsible for the safe and efficient offloading of raw materials into the company, operating Overhead Crane and Counterbalance etc.
Duties:
Operate material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts
Offload, identify and safely store raw material in coil and flat sheet form
Take responsibility for inspection goods for quality and quantity
Enter traceability data into manual and/or electronic records
Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
Be involved in continuous improvement processes 7 driving through improvements in all aspects of the role
Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
Performs Other Duties as assigned
All offloading of raw materials achieved in a timely manner
Candidate Requirements:
In-date counterbalance licence
Experience of operating Overhead Crane
A good knowledge of material handling processes
Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards
Hours of work
3 shift rotation. Days (6am-2pm) Afternoons (2pm-10pm) Nights (10pm - 6am)
Rate of pay: £12.00 Per hour + Overtime
