ATA Recruitment are working closely with a leading global exporter and manufacturer of bespoke special purpose machinery, which is exported around the world, our client has been at the forefront in pushing technological boundaries integrating robotics and the latest fibre optic technology at their headquarters in Litchfield.

As our client are only one of the few companies in the world that design and manufacture this bespoke machinery, 90% of their sales are done internationally, subsequently being awarded the prestigious Queen’s award for export and development.

As a result of business growth plans and increase in demand from customers such as Caterpillar, Siemens, GKN, and Samsung our client is looking to add a Mechanical Design Manager to their dynamic team, as a Mechanical Design Manager you will work closely with the Engineering Director on varied projects for clients around the world.

The Role

As a Mechanical Design Manager, you will be involved in the design process from inception to completion, Managing and spearheading new and existing projects.

Some of the responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Manager will be to:

Manage of all design activities from concept to production.
Investigate design factors such as function, performance, cost, and operation efficiency.
Prepare 3D/2D drawings, BOM’s, and technical solutions.
Be a customer technical liaison on projects.
Make sure designs meet customer requirements.
Provide support to production.
Create and updating design manuals.
Visit client site, UK and abroad.
The Candidate:

The ideal Mechanical Design Manager will have:

CAD experience in 2D and 3D
Mechanical Engineering Qualifications
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
Fantastic leadership qualities
